Occasionally, we will get complaints from customers regarding slow speeds on their internet connections. The reasons for this vary, but one that has cropped up more and more is customer file storage "in the cloud". Dropbox is a popular file sharing service that many of our customers use. By default, the Dropbox client will use as much bandwidth to download and sync files with the cloud, which can cause issues for some clients with internet circuits that are only 5, 10, or 25Mb/s. We suggest throttling Dropbox download speeds in order to prevent the saturation of the WAN link and degrading the user experience for your entire office.
