Data Center Rack Orientation

Authors list

Atlantech Online Data Centers are set up in a hot aisle/cold aisle oriention.  Hot/Cold aisle containment is a key cooling cost reduction method.  It involves arranging the server’s racks and IT equipment so that all heat is exhausted into hot aisles and all air intake draws from the cold aisles.  It is important when installing equipment into a cabinet or rack in an Atlantech Data Center that you follow the proper orientation.  Floors and/or cabinets/racks will be marked appropriately and all installations will be inspected by Atlantech staff.  Ensuring proper orientation leads to more efficient cooling and lower energy costs.
